About the Feedlot:

H&M Feeders is located about 12 miles outside of Sterling, CO . We have a maximum feeding capacity of 14,000 head.

We specialize in custom feeding and backgrounding high-risk cattle.

Our facilities and equipment is up-to-date and well maintained.

We have an incredible crew that is committed to delivering the best care to your cattle.

Our location enables us to source local, high-quality feed.

Consulting vet provides expertise to treat your cattle, if health issues arise.

Consulting nutritionist will ensure cattle performance will meet owner's goals.

Our History

Joe and Katie Hatch

Joe grew up in Akron, CO. He attended NJC in Sterling, CO on a rodeo scholarship and studied Animal Science and Ag. Business.

Joe has been involved in the cattle industry his whole life. Growing up he helped his dad, Doug, on numerous ranches and feedlots.

Upon his CSU graduation in 2014, Joe moved to Stoneham, CO to manage the Toedtli Ranch. In 2018, Joe and Doug expanded the operation in Stoneham to include a backgrounding feedlot. The couple formed J and K Ranches LLC in 2021. J and K Ranches runs pairs and yearlings on leased grass.

In 2023, Joe and Terry Miller met and founded

H & M Feeders-- a feeding company you can trust with your cattle investment.

Joe and Katie met at NJC in Sterling, CO and they married in 2018. Katie is involved in the daily operation of H & M Feeders.

Terry Miller

Terry Miller grew up in Padroni, CO. He is very passionate about agriculture and he started developing farms 20 years ago.

In addition to having a passion for agriculture, Terry has a strong desire to give back and see agriculture communities thrive.

25 years ago, Terry founded M & M Excavation, headquartered in Greeley, CO. In his free time, Terry enjoys riding his motorcycle and hunting birds with his dogs, Ivy and Otto.
